The power plant “Aquarius-16K” with UGT 10000S2A engine was set into experimental and commercial operation in 2003 at Stavishchenskaya compressor station (Kiev region, Ukraine).

Gas turbine engines of UGT 15000 type are in serial
production since 1991. They are used at Navy ships, as gas supercharges drives and electric generators drives for power stations. The serial engine of DG90 modification with operation on natural gas reached NOx emissions level of 37.5 ppm and CO emissions level of 26 ppm.

DGA-2500SD1 at Novgorod (Russia) Cogenerating power plant.

Gas pressure in the ramified network makes 7,5-2,5 MPa. For producing of such pressure energy gas turbocompressor, compressing gas on gas-compressor stations is used. To household and industrial consumers is required natural gas considerably smaller pressure: 0,11-0,25 MPa.

For reception of such pressure are used stations and gas control points in which occurs throttling the main gas up to necessary parameters. Thus potential energy of the compressed gas is irrevocably lost.

For use of this energy and its transformation in electric in "Zorya" - "Mashproekt" are generated and are produced energy-efficient complexes on basis turbo-expanders. High-pressure units - DGA-2500VD and medium pressure - DGA-2500SD1 allow to receive non-polluting electric energy without firing. Use turbo-expander for a drive of electric generators enables to carry out partial return of the energy supplied for gas compression at compressor stations. Expander generator plants are delivered by uniform power block in complete production.
