About Us
GP Green Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. (GP Energy) is part of the global revolution to achieve "Green Energy Generation". It aspires to reduce expenditures on energy, dependence on conventional fossil fuels and environmental pollution. GP Energy, head-quartered in Kolkata, India, had entered into the field of renewable energy through its parent organization in 1987.

GP Energy: About Us

GP Energy has its Technology and Engineering Centre in Pune .It is first in India to successfully implement industrial sized biomass gasification plant by adopting the updraft gasification technology. The technology and basic engineering package was supplied by an expert from Power Gas Corporation, UK.

With continuous R&D both in-house as well as with assistance from Indian Institute of Technology, Central Fuel Research Institute etc, GP Energy successfully developed cogeneration systems for various innovative industrial applications with consistent performance.GP Energy offers design, manufacturing, turnkey services as well as comprehensive EPC services to meet the needs of the industrial customers.

It also extends the following services for smooth and hassle free operation of the plant:

  • Execution of entire civil and electrical work.
  • Supply and Installation of Effluent Treatment Plant.
  • Supply and Installation of dual fuel burner assembly.
  • Design and supply of total plant automation with remote monitoring system.
  • Commercial operation and maintenance of the plant on continuous basis.
  • Annual Maintenance.
  • Supply of spare parts.

Over 100 GP Gasifiers have been installed successfully for various industrial
applications in India, Nepal, Thailand and Guyana (SA).

European Collaboration

Collaboration

European Collaboration
In 2012,Güssing Renewable Energy GmbH, Austria (GRE) partnered with GP Energy in equity and licensed its state-of-the-art breakthrough technology, originally designed and developed by the Technical University of Vienna under Professor Hermann Holfbauer in 1995. GRE further developed the commercial application now available world wide.

GRE has successfully standardized “Fast Internally circulating Dual Fluidized Bed Gasification” technology, where besides agro waste or forest waste, RDF (Refused Derived Fuel) Feedstock from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) can also be gasified. In addition to power and heat, synthetic Fuel and Hydrogen can also be used as vehicular fuel. GRE has been operating a 8MW plant in Austria for selling of electricity and heat to a community since 2001. Presently, GP Energy is the EPC and hardware supplier for GRE’s
Projects in Thailand and Japan.

PG Energy: Carbon Recycling

Carbon Recycling
Carbon Recycling is a registered trademark of GRE. It stands for precise allocation of CO2 emission to our feedstock providers, members of the CXC platform for carbon recycling. GP Energy and GRE believe and rely on the principle of complete Carbon Recyc-ling as a part of the resource evolution. Biomass growth is an original and natural form of CO2 storage.

Biomass (waste wood, branch, twig, agricultural residues, organic household and industrial waste, sewage sludge etc.) is utilized for energy production. Compared to combusting fossil energy sources (oil, natural gas, coal) where CO2 is released, the energy production form biomass the perpetual fuel, is CO2 neutral, because released CO2 during energy generation is absorbed during its growing-cycle.
